The Spekboom Project was started by Rebecca Murray, daughter of Owl Rescue Centre founders, Brendan and Danelle Murray, at the age of eight.
Rebecca is a passionate young conservationist who started propagating and growing Spekboom plants when she was eight, because she had heard how good it is for the planet. When her parents asked her what she was doing, she suggested that other people are encouraged to plant them too and that the plants she grew are sold to raise funds for the owls.
Approximately 120 Spekboom plants can completely offset your personal carbon footprint.
